As fellow Mediterraneans we love our Italian food over on this side of the sea! There’s loads of options for pizza in and around Beirut, but who’s offering up the most mouthwatering slices around? We made it our mission to find out and here’s the top 5 recommended by BeirutNightLife:
Tavolina
A Mar Mikhael favorite that’s always welcoming hungry pizza cravers, all week long at all hours of the day and night, Tavolina doesn’t take reservations and people gladly wait their turn for a taste of the thin crusts and perfect cheeses. The food at this traditional eatery is simply presented but speaks volumes with its taste. Make sure you try their divine Focatina pizza!

Pzza.Co
It just opened and it’s already the talk of the town! From the same people that brought us the delicious burgers at BRGR & Co, now we have Pzza Co. The eatery at downtown’s Beirut Souks has a selection of gourmet and traditionally-loved pizzas that are gooey with the best cheese, topped with the freshest ingredients and smell like heaven. Check out Beirut’s new favorite pizza place asap (and make sure to notice the stunning flame-like glass decorated oven)!

Margherita
Although the popular Margherita has mushroomed all over Lebanon, it’s managed to retain its authenticity, taste and consistency throughout its various branches, while also lending a special flavor to each venue. Its seaside location in Jounieh is probably the most picturesque and offers hungry boat-owners the option of docking and eating on land, while also offering various seafood dishes not available elsewhere.

Caffe Mondo
Like the restaurants at the Phoenicia Beirut hotel, Caffe Mondo offers incredibly delicious food in a classy but casual atmosphere. The Italian eatery is cozier than other hotel venues, hosts special Italian open buffet nights on Wednesdays, and has hosted special guest chefs performing pizza juggling tricks. Entertainment aside, Phoenicia’s pro chefs cook up some of the best pizza in the city for the pickiest eaters.

La Posta
It’s not just about the pizza or the range of other gourmet dishes here, at La Posta it’s the whole experience! The Ashrafieh restaurant is cozy but sophisticated, posh but accessible. Their pizzas are thin, crisp and topped with all the delicacies you can drool over. Now that the weather is warmer the garden terrace is the perfect way to spend an sunny afternoon and or a cool evening.
