Wicker Park Festival: Music and Fun by the Sea in Batroun

It was like having our very own Woodstock, right in Lebanon. Close to 2000 people attended this summer’s Wicker Park festival for a fantastic summer night. This year’s festival was a huge success, with 9 of the best Lebanese bands giving killer performances and the crowd loving the various types of music. Each band was very different but audience members danced, sang along and awed at the performers. The attendees, both young and old (and a few animals) chilled out on the grass, had drinks and food, enjoyed the sun, the sunset and the cool breeze by the Batroun seashore. They also participated in cool activities like painting and enjoyed fire shows and other entertainment. The proceeds from the festival will go to help Lebanon’s Sea Urchins Projects and to providing a music room for SOS at their new youth center in Sin El Fil (Y-Tech).
