Revisit 2U2C’s Epic 2012 Summer Concert Events!

Music enthusiasts from all over Lebanon have 2U2C to thank…We can thank the company for many reasons but to sum it all up, we thank them for giving Lebanon the opportunity to be a part of the live music world. Bringing A-class international artist to Lebanon is something that fans truly appreciate. From Hip-Hop to Rock, Disco to Oriental, 2U2C gave us many epic concert events to remember. 2U2C Summer 2012 was a hit! Check out a recap of the concerts below…

Wiz Khalifa: Kicking off the summer was one of the hottest names in Rap and Hip-Hop. A name heard all over the world, regularly on the TV and Radio. The one and only Wiz Khalifa made his way to the Forum de Beyrouth, along with his team, to start the 2U2C summer off right! Everyone in Lebanon stayed “Young, Wild & Free”, at least for one amazing night.

Live Achrafieh 2012: 2U2C gave people from all over Lebanon the opportunity to gather at the famous Sassine Square Achrafieh, to be a part of Achrafieh Live! Achrafieh Live is an annual music and street festival that gathers around 15,000 people at Sassine Square. This year included many young talents as well an appearance by the “Ktir Salbe” comedy show. To top it all off world-renowned Lebanese star Najwa Karam performed a lovely show closing out a wonderful evening. Here’s to next year!

Pitbull: Thanks to 2U2C Mr. Worldwide came to Beirut Lebanon! As most music lovers were still getting over the positive shock that Wiz Khalifa performed live in Beirut, 2U2C dropped the big news that number one hit maker Pitbull was coming to town. 2U2C made sure that the Planet Pit World Tour made its stop at the Forum De Beyrouth. Mr. Worldwide himself played all of his number one hits, bringing the house down!

Nostalgie Fever: Disco legends are staying alive! A very nostalgic feeling came over music fans in Beirut as 2U2C brought over the biggest names of the disco area to be a part of the epic concert event, Nostagie Fever. The golden hits from the golden era included, Eruption, the Weather Girls, Anita Ward, Rose Royce, Shannon and so many more. 2U2C transformed the Forum de Beyrouth into one big dance floor!

Oriental Night 6: During mid summer 2U2C, in collaboration with Arab Booking, switched it up a bit. So far they had brought us A-class international artists, now it was time for the Oriental stars to shine. Arabic music fans of all ages came to enjoy some of the best stars and music in Lebanon. Along with top class music from the orchestra led by Elie Alya, fans enjoyed performances by Assi Hellani, Nawal Zoghbi, Ramy Ayach, Joseph Attieh, as well as winners of the Murex d’Or, Sara Al Hani, Naji Osta, Sabine and Anwar Nour.

NRJ Music Tour 2012: Quite possibly the biggest concert in Lebanon was back for another big round! 2U2C’s NRJ Music Tour has broken records and is known to be enormous. This year came with another record-breaking aspect, as 17 artists from around the world gathered for one unforgettable night. Along with a massive set up with international dancers, DJs and a special fire work show the line up of stars included, Anda Adam, Anjulie, Chris Willis, Fly Project, Gary Go, Jessica D, Kerli, Lexter, Neon Hitch, Ola and the world famous Sean Kingston. What a night for music!

Chris De Burgh: Yes I am sure you know his name, Chris De Burgh. As soon as we hear his name we sing the timeless tune, “Lady In Red”. 2U2C teamed up as part of the Jounieh Internal Festival 2012, to bring Chris De Burgh back to Lebanon. With numerous albums and music tours under his belt, Chris De Burgh established himself to become a very well known and loved songwriter around the world…and of course in Lebanon.

Within Temptation: 2U2C switched it up yet again! From Hip-Hop to Disco and now to the amazing Symphonic Metal band, Within Temptation. Hard Rock fans from all over Lebanon headed to the Forum de Beyrouth to catch an incredible show, with Sharon den Adel’s amazing voice fronting the heavy metal act. 2U2C is known for bringing all types of music to Lebanon and we sure do appreciate it!

The Comedy Factory: On July 13^th it was time to laugh out loud with 2U2C, as they brought over three huge names in Comedy to lighten up the mood in Beirut. Mitch Fatel, Mohammad “MO” Amer and special guest Amer Zahr offered up the best night in stand up comedy. This was a perfect event for folks in Lebanon who needed a quick break to laugh and enjoy a great evening.

Man in the Mirror: 2U2C remembered the king of pop Michael Jackson by bringing over one of the most amazing MJ tribute shows to Beirut. As part of the Beirut Holiday events 2U2C produced Man in The Mirror, a show that celebrated the amazing Michael Jackson, in a high octane theatrical spectacular that spans over three decades of greatest hits in pop history. This theatrical concert most definitely showed us “Who’s Bad”!

Michel Fadel: The one and only 2U2C produced another great night, as part of Beirut Holidays. This night saw Lebanese artist Michel Fadel performing live at Beirut Souks. We remember Michel Fadel as part of the hit show Star Academy, but now Michel indeed has grown into a true star performing his “Michel Fadel Aal Lebene” show.

Elissa: Oriental fans know this name, as they give her lovely voice such positive praise. 2U2C knew this was a show to produce for Oriental music fans from all over Lebanon. They were right! Many fans flowed into the Beirut Souks to catch a lovely show put on by Lebanese star Elissa.

Sami Yusuf: Nearing the end of summer 2U2C knew they could get in a couple more epic concerts before the concert season ended. One of these great concerts was for British artist Sami Yusef. The singer-songwriter, composer, producer & an accomplished musician took to the stage to perform his groundbreaking music. His beautiful voice resonated throughout the Beirut Souks, making this show another great success produced by 2U2C.

Dead Can Dance: It is known that 2U2C brings a mixture of A-class international artist every year to Lebanon, but this I never expected. 2U2C introduced the most epic world fusion band fronted by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. Dead Can Dance has been described as having an ambient style of world music that, “constructed soundscapes of mesmerizing grandeur and solemn beauty”, this statement is more than true and because of 2U2C music enthusiast in Beirut were able to catch this epic show, live!
