Les Jardins Ephemeres, organized by Urban Art, at Rikky’z awards many different outlooks on contemporary design. Rikky’z courtyard, from August 4th to the 7th, 2011, has become a Fleeting haven of several thousands of square meters, dedicated to gardening.
Visitors are discovering twelve themed gardens, created by an array of distinguished guest artists, landscape architects as well as designers, each appealing to the different senses through mineral matter, light, sound, and aroma.
Names like May Chediac, Nadine Labbaki, Riccardo Karam and Mousbah Al Ahdab are but a few of the guest talents who have uncovered their inspiration through Fleeting gardens.
The weekend also includes an array of entertainment programs including 35 tents of different exhibitors of arts and crafts, street animations, musicians, stilt walkers, street artists as well as other cultural events like wine tasting, Botany and Horticulture Courses, Ikebana Course.
Of course kids have their say as well with green fun environmental workshops and playful educational activities pertaining to water: making a watermill, knowing the water and its cycle, quiz etc on the water.
