Remember the good old days of French songs that had beautiful melodies, lyrics, meaning and feeling? This was the occasion to celebrate the special French hits that have gone down in history books as the classics. A superbe lineup of celebrated crooners was hosted at a massive concert in BIEL on March 20th, drawing in a full house of Lebanon’s devoted French music and oldies lovers. The event featured legendary singers including Jeane Manson, Philippe Lavil, Herbert Leonard, Corinne Hermes, Desireless, Ottawan, Luigi, Alain Delorme, and Phil Barney, who sang all the old French favorites that for many, bring back beautiful memories of the 70s and 80s. The artists performed their classic hits that took everyone on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminiscing and reliving the happy decades.
Since the next day was Mother’s Day, the evening concert was a special Mother’s Day event and featured a performance of Luigi Verdarame’s classic “Une Maman” dedicated to all the mothers of Lebanon and the world. On top of all that, there was a very special appearance by Lebanon’s young talent Anthony Touma of The Voice – the crowd went wild when he took the stage! Beautiful music, happy vibes and memories of yesteryear were alive and well and brought heaps of smiles to the audience members at this remarkable musical affair to remember.
