Cirque Du Soleil in Lebanon- Behind the Scenes

Cirque Du Soleil is in town and ready to perform the Saltimbanco, one of the oldest touring shows since 1992. The show is described as a celebration of life. Its creators say they developed it as an antidote to the violence and despair prevalent in the 20th century. Saltimbanco features a global cast of 51 performers and musicians from over 20 countries. It is an carnival of artistic skills and agility, featuring acrobatics and athleticism involving both solos and ensembles. Cirque du Soleil is Canadian entertainment company known to be a dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment. This is the first visit to Lebanon but they have visited the region previously presenting a number of shows in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and are expected to open a permanent show at the Palm Jumeirah.
