Whether you call it Byblos or Jbeil (the local name!) this beautiful port city is ancient, spectacular and  full of life! It’s perfect during the summer, with many activities for people of all ages, walks of life and interests.

As one of the oldest cities in the world dating back to at least 7000 B.C., Byblos has plenty of amazing archeological sites. Yet today the city is incredibly alive, with a fun spirit that sweeps between the beautiful old buildings that are now used to attract tourists and entertain locals.

The city’s souk and port areas are a great place to hang out, day and night. During the day check out the stunning ruins and churches throughout the city. The old Phoenician port city is now a UNESCO World Heritage City. When your tummy starts to rumble, you’ve got plenty of choices for food, from mouthwatering seafood restaurants with picturesque views by the sea, to some of the best international eateries in the country.
