Beirut is alive and buzzing with football fever! With so many venues screening the games nightly, it’s almost like Brazil is in Beirut for the games. Depending on who’s supporting which team, friends have temporarily become rivals and strangers are suddenly friends. BNL took a tour of the many city’s cafes and bars to check out all the World Cup 2014 action and snap pictures of the biggest football fans in town. From the peeps watching the games at the trendy nightlife hub of Uruguay Street, to the hardcore fans cheering at Beirut Waterfront, to the cafe-goers gazing at screens in Zaitunay Bay and the football addicts in Antelias’ bars and pubs, the World Cup is everywhere and we can’t get enough!
