Welcoming a new Italian signature: GIGI

Italian love large families… Gouraud Street, in Gemayze district is welcoming a new Italian signature: GIGI, the newborn of the group pioneer with La Posta and La Posta Gourmet in Italian delicacies captivating the public with their refinement.

Under the auspices and in the presence of HE Giuseppe Morabito, Ambassador of Italy in Lebanon, GIGI has welcomed us with friends and leading figures, for an exclusive lunch in which we enjoyed the Italian delights.

Mr. Michel Ferneini has welcomed the guests with a cordial speech ‘we are particularly glad to celebrate with you the opening of GIGI. Our simple as well ambitious mission is to offer you the top from Italy. At GIGI, you will always be warmly received. At Gigi, best Italian traditions are not only in your plate.’

“The opening of GIGI is a new expression of the vitality of the links between Italy and Lebanon”, declared H.E. Giuseppe Morabito. “Italy is inaugurating today in your country a new window of high quality. I am really pleased about it and I wish for it the deserved success.”

In a decor signed Galal Mahmoud Architects, GIGI presented to the guests a lunch with colorful notes and generous dishes in which the great Italian tradition was honored: Bruschetta, Focaccia, Pasta and Risotto have followed all competing in goodness. However, the star of the feast was the Pizza: an authentic wood fired Pizza Napoletana, prepared with expertise by an acrobatic Pizzaiolo. Only Napoli’s water wasn’t present in the recipe! A creamy Tiramisù and an ice-cream of the best Italian tradition reminded us that Italy is also the country of marvelous desserts! The espresso that followed with its taste and intense fragrance finally closed at the highest level our culinary concert.

GIGI who will inaugurate in April its second restaurant in the City Center, will certainly impose a new trend in the Italian cuisine in Lebanon. We have no doubt about it.
