Here in Beirut we love to celebrate, so needless to say when any type of holiday comes our way…no way will we miss it! This past weekend Zucca celebrated “National Pumpkin Day”, in a very delicious way. In case you didn’t know, pumpkins indicate the harvest season, appearing every year as the first sign of autumn. The word “pumpkin” comes from the Greek word “pepon,” meaning “large melon”. In different areas around the globe people carve pumpkins during Halloween…here in Beirut we head out to our local pub, Zuccca at Uruguay Street, to drink the delicious night away, cheers!
