Since its inception Uruguay Street, the novel happening hangout spot, located downtown continues to grow with new places opening, keeping the nightspot busy and heaving on a nightly basis. This past Sunday Uruguay Street welcomed a new bar to the strip, 6th Avenue. Named after the New York, 6th Avenue is decorated with portraits of famous actors/actresses who were born in NY, stars such as Mel Gibson, Vin Diesel, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and more.
This cocktail bar offers specialty drinks like flavored Mojitos, and Moscow Mule that is served in copper mugs. For those of you who don’t know, a Moscow Mule is a buck or mule cocktail made with Vodka, Ginger Beer, and Lime. This was a popular drink during the Vodka craze in the US during the 1950’s. 6th Avenue’s resident DJ John Nacouzi mixes the best tunes, from the 80’s to present day tracks. Starting off the evening with soft rock to get the crowd going and ending the evening with fine remixed commercial hits
6th Avenue is a great new place with a perfect vibe. Head down to Uruguay Street and stop into 6th Avenue and be transported to New York for a few hours.
