The Spaniards & the Chileans together to the second round
Spain 2-1 Chile
Spain and Chile reached the second round of the World Cup in South Africa, current first victory on the second 2-1 in a match between them on Friday in Pretoria in Group VIII. David Villa (24) and Anrias Iniesta (37) scored for Spain, and Rodrigo Millar (47)scored the goal of Chile. Despite the loss of Chile, Spain will play Portugal while Chile will have to find a way to defeat the Brazilians.
Honduras gift Chile the second round
The Honduran team held the Swiss to a tie which eliminated both teams from the first round of the cup. Switzerland needed to win by two goals to skip the first round, falling into the trap missed the chance to qualify for the second round for the second time in a row and fifth in its history.
Ivory Coast 3-0 N.Korea
Ivory Coast were eliminated from the first round after winning to North Korea 3 – 0. Yaya Toure (14), Romaric know Kofi (20), Salomon Kalou (82) scored the goals for the African side. The Elephants needed to score eight goals and Portugal to loose from Brazil in order to qualify to the second round. Another African team leave the tournament, with only Ghana playing the US.
Portugal and Brazil bore their way to the second round
Portugal 0-0 Brazil
The Brazilians, and the European Brazilians played one of the most boring games in the tournament in the last round of the first stages. Both teams managed to go through to the second round with Brazil heading the group and Portugal in the second round. The Brazilian team already had secured his place in the second round after defeating Ivory Cosat, while the Portuguese needed a tie for the second round seat.
