LG LAUNCHES WORLD’S FIRST 3D SMARTPHONE TO THE LEBANESE MARKET

 “OPTIMUS 3D MOBILE” with Tri-Dual Processing Architecture

 Beirut October 18, 2011 – LG Electronics, the global specialist and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances, launched today the “Optimus 3D Mobile,” the world’s first 3D mobile with Tri-Dual processing architecture.

The press conference took place at the Metropolitan Palace Hotel in Sin el Fil and was attended my LG officials, members of the press and Mr. Ziad Bou Rahal, General Manager of T Pro, the new distributor of LG Mobile Communication.

The launch marks LG’s entry into the smartphone market in Lebanon, which will be followed later in the year by the opening of the company’s first direct service center for LG smartphones.

 

Yong Kim, General Manager – Mobile Communication Unit, LG Electronics Lebanon, commented on  the launch saying, “As 3D technologies continue to gain momentum, we are very happy to introduce the world’s first 3D mobile, especially at a time when local consumers are becoming more and more tech-savvy with their mobile communication requirements.”

LG Mobile Division Field Marketing Manager in the Levant, Mr. Feras Hasanat, gave a comprehensive presentation and demonstration about the 3D Optimus and all its special features during the conference, interacting with the press and giving them the chance to experience the phone first hand.

The distinctive glasses-free phone will present the strongest 3D quality content, where users will experience the phone’s blazing fast speed and maximized task efficiency through the world’s first Tri-Dual processing Architecture; dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory technologies.

Notably, this smart phone will also feature a dual 5 MP camera, which will allow the user to take 3D photos and record 3D videos, among many other advanced specifications such as sharing 3D videos on YouTube 3D and 3D monitors and LCDs, making it the optimum phone for 3D content creation.

The press conference included an interactive experience zone and a highly entertaining competition giving the attending media a chance to be the first in the country to own the new phone. The competition included a fun crossword puzzle based on the unique specifications of the 3D Optimus Mobile, with the fastest 3 journalists to complete the puzzle walking away with the new device. 

With its comprehensive 3D ecosystem, LG Plans to keep expanding and delivering on its high-tech 3D line-up to ensure consumers worldwide can create, enjoy and share 3D content through LG’s 3D products.

The 3D Optimus Mobile will go on sale in November.
