August started off nice and relaxing with events including a garden design show, new restaurant experiences, a party at sea as well as amazing DJ events. Here are the BNL highlights for this week!
Les Jardins Ephemeres at Rikky’z Aug 4th-7th: Les Jardins Ephemeres, organized by Urban Art, at Rikky’z awards many different outlooks on contemporary design. Rikky’z courtyard, from August 4th to the 7th, 2011, has become a Fleeting haven of several thousands of square meters, dedicated to gardening.Visitors are discovering twelve themed gardens, created by an array of distinguished guest artists, landscape architects as well as designers, each appealing to the different senses through mineral matter, light, sound, and aroma.

Cid Inc. at B018 Aug 5th: B018 the club that never seems to disappoint is keeping the summer alive! The legendary underground afterhours hot spot started August out right by collaborating with Ready Mix Records to proudly present Cid Inc. Clubbers enjoyed a killer set from one of Finland’s finest as well as beats provided by B018’s local favorite resident power duo Gunther & Stamina.

Shou Restaurant in Kaslik Opening Aug 5th: Shou, meaning “long life and prosperity” in Japanese, is a new restaurant concept that opened its doors in Kaslik last Friday. This new restaurant is a hookah lounge that serves Italian-Asian fusion cuisine in a spacious retro avant-garde setting. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights feature live entertainment; latin shows on Thursdays and Broadway-inspired shows by Burlesque dancers on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pirates on the Run Boat Party Aug 6th: The Pirates On The Run Boat Party set out to give guests that same care free feeling by sailing for hours while supplying an OPEN bar of beverages, and complementary snacks. We Party goers said bon voyage from La Marina Dbayeh and set sail towards Beirut’s Waterfront. When setting sail towards Jounieh guests enjoyed music and drinks to a beautiful sunset view. A few hours into the trip the captain found a perfect spot to drop anchor. The boat was parked and partygoers threw themselves into the sea. While some cooled off in the water others continued the dance party on board.
