“Blue Gold” National Water Initiative Launched at Phoenicia

An ambitious new project called Blue Gold was launched at the Phoenicia hotel on December 10 during a huge ceremony. Blue Gold is a 5-year plan to manage Lebanon’s water resources, highlight its importance and use water as national wealth to leverage the national economy. The event, held under the patronage of President Michel Suleiman, and started by the Civic Influence Hub (CIH) gathered over a thousand people, including politicians, ambassadors, economic authorities, academics, experts, journalists and civil society members.
