The year of many celebrity divorces seems to have made its way to the Arab world as well, bringing an end to the marriage of singer Shireen Abdel Wahab and composer Mohammad Mustafa.

After a five-year marriage and two daughters, Hana and Mariam, the two surprisingly split but are still maintaining a friendship for the sake of their children. This was all very sudden and bizarre, since the couple seemed to be getting along just fine and living happily together – but clearly, there’s more than meets the eye.
