Messidona end the Mexican dream
Argentina 3-1 Mexico
Argentina has set a date for a revenge match in the quarterfinals with the Germans after the their loss in 2006, and 1990. The Argentineans succeeded in defeating El Tri at “Soccer City” in Johannesburg. Tevez scored first after a fabulous pass from Messi and another huge mistake from the referee not considering the goal an offside. Higuain added the second goal before Tevez scored again with an out of this world shot on the goal. Hernandez scored a late goal for the Mexican side announcing another clash between Germany and Argentina.
Germans Demolish the English Pride
In a historic game, the German Machine massacred the English three lions with a result of 4-1. Germany taught England a hard lesson when swept 4-1 Sunday’s in Bloemfontein to reach quarter-finals of World Cup football in South Africa. Miroslave Klose scored first for the Germans and Podolski added the second goal before Upson scored a header for England. The turning point of the game was the canceled goal for England that was clearly a huge mistake from the referee. The second half, the mighty Germans launched attack after the other to score two more goals from the superb Muller taking the Germans away to the next round.
