Harrods, London, has indicated that it’s time to start Christmas festivities with their array of attractive window displays featuring dresses fit for any Disney princess.

Rapunzel, Cinderella, Mulan and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog feature alongside many other Disney princesses in the 10 lavish window dressings that are displayed within their own magic worlds.

Known for their grandeur, Harrods and Disney have roped in some of the leading names in the industry such as Oscar De la Renta, Versace and your own Lebanese international designer Elie Saab to design these gowns. And each of these designers have given their unique interpretation of the original Disney princess dresses.

Elie Saab gave his personal touch to the pale pink gown that Princess Aurora will wear.

Harrods also hopes that these dresses would influence to-be brides to choose similar designs as they plan to walk down the aisle with their princes.

According to Hello Magazine, designers were asked to create contemporary, bespoke dresses to make every girl’s dream of becoming a Disney princess possible. “These displays will be an inspirational sight to ladies up and down the country looking for their perfect wedding gown. And future brides be alert, this time of month is the most common time of year for partners to pop that all-important question,” the magazine said in its report.

Apart from the dresses, an exclusive 7,000 square-foot boutique will open on the Fourth Floor at Harrods till January 2013, which will include bespoke limited-edition items, collectables and show-stopping dress-up pieces, the company website stated.
