The infamous cobbler of the red-soled devilish heels doesn’t care if his shoes hurt your feet.
Christian Louboutin believes that true fashionistas will gladly suffer in the name of style. But let’s be honest, when you’re paying $800 for a pair of shoes, shouldn’t you at least feel comfortable wearing them?
This is what Louboutin had to say to Grazia magazine regarding the subject:
“I really have not so much sympathy. If Tina Turner and Prince’s back-up band can perform on stage in them for three hours, you can’t tell me they are impossible to walk in. High heels are pleasure with pain.”
So what is the divo’s advice for those who want to buy his expensive shoes?
“If you can’t walk in them, don’t wear them,” he says.
Louboutin does feel sorry for men though, who can’t use heels as a method to look taller.
The luxury shoe designer is now preparing for an haute couture shoe show at the London’s Design Museum next month.
