Karl Lagerfeld proved once again that he’s on a league of his own when he held a Chanel fashion show at the Versailles Palace this Monday. Many celebrities, including Tilda Swinton and Vanessa Paradis, showed up to witness the launch of the baroque-inspired cruise collection.
“The palace is the perfect place for Chanel, you couldn’t imagine anything better,” said Paradis,
Gold platform sneakers broke the historic feel of the beauty spots, bottom-heavy skirts, floral chokers and ruffled eighteenth century tulle sleeves, reminiscent of the Marie Antoinette days at the palace.
It was certainly one of the funkiest Chanel shows for a while!
