Bottega Veneta is pleased to announce the opening of a new store in Beirut, Lebanon, in the exciting
Beirut Souks. The new store measures 135 square meters and offers women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories, along with men’s accessories and shoes.
The boutique features Bottega Veneta’s signature store concept designed by Creative Director Tomas Maier. Every element of the boutique interior, from the walnut tables to the door handles sheathed in leather, has been custom made. Among the notable design features are aerodynamically shaped, vertical window louvers of palm wood and steel; finely crafted display counters with slide-out billiard-cloth presentation pads; walls covered in ultra-suede; mohair furniture upholstery, and custom-dyed, pure New Zealand wool carpets.
A quiet, sensuous palette of matte neutrals and earth tones underscores the privacy, sophistication, and comfort of the shopping experience. The store is a reflection of Bottega Veneta’s defining qualities: exceptional design, modern functionality, outstanding craftsmanship, and the use of the highest quality materials.
Beirut Souks, a large commercial district located in downtown Beirut, is home to some of the city’s most elegant retail and entertainment venues. The result of an award-winning architectural project designed to restore the commercial center of the city following Lebanon’s civil war, Beirut Souks was designed and built in phases by a team of international and Lebanese architects. The unusual project follows the ancient, pre-Roman street grid of the city, maintaining landmarks and evoking the spirit and purpose of the traditional souks that historically anchored the city center.
“We are delighted to be opening a Bottega Veneta store in Beirut,” says Creative Director Tomas Maier. “It’s exciting to participate in the renaissance of this historic city and to be part of the elegantly designed Beirut Souks. We look forward to offering our customers in Beirut Bottega Veneta’s superlative service and luxurious shopping experience.”
“The Middle East is an important and fast-growing market for Bottega Veneta. Beirut is becoming more and more of an important cultural and tourist destination in the region and we’re pleased to be opening in such a high-profile location,” says Marco Bizzarri, President and CEO of Bottega Veneta.
