We can all agree that one of the most essential things about wearing makeup is getting those eye lashes to pop out.
You could have nothing else on your face except a seductive set of beautiful long, thick lashes, and you’d be good to go!
A good mascara is one that separates, elongates, darkens and thickens your lashes to the maximum – evenly – without leaving a clumpy mess.
Since I’m not too fond of caking up my face, my main focus is always on mascara; and thanks to the awesome brands I buy, a question many tend to ask me is: what is the best mascara?
Here is a list of top 4 mascara brands for all types of lashes that you won’t regret buying:
Benefit “Are They Real”: The name says it all. If you want the full fake lash effect, look no further. Now although this brand is not sold in Lebanon, you can ask someone coming in from England or the USA to buy it for you.
The result: Super thick and long, extra black lashes that would make any heart melt the minute your eyelids flutter.
Yves Saint Laurent “Volume Effet Faux Cils”: This was my favorite mascara for years. I even got four of my best friends hooked on it. In less than two minutes, you’ll have long, thick, super sexy lashes that will give your eyes that hypnotizing effect. I’ve been asked many times if I was wearing fake lashes. The answer was always, “these babies are real!” The only downside to this mascara is that it dries up quickly.
Givenchy “Phenomen’eyes”: The result is indeed phenomenal! The brush may seem bizarre to you at first, but once you get used to it, you’ll be hooked. It enables you to apply mascara lash by lash, thickening and separating each as you go. The result is doll eyes! Long, curled and separated for that cute and sexy look. You’ll never have clumped up or crooked lashes again. Contrary to its small size, it lasts for months! I started using it over a year ago and I’m hooked.
Dior “Show”: Ladies, this is intense! Your lashes will be seen from all the way across the room. This brand is known for giving the effect of backstage makeup. Think: Moulin Rouge. The only disadvantage is that the brush is a bit big, but it shouldn’t be a problem once you get the hang of it. In any case, the result is so worth it! Apply a coat or two to those lashes and get ready for a stare down with that hottie in the corner. I also got addicted to this brand a few years ago, and I still use it till today.
All the mascaras above are approximately 40 USD.
I alternate between the last three and I simply love them. All my girlfriends who’ve tried them got addicted to them as well. Try one out and let me know what you think.
