From the COTE D’AZURE to the Corniche, La Petite Maison to open at Le Vendôme BEIRUT

La Petite Maison will open at Beirut’s original boutique hotel Le Vendôme, Wednesday 3rd April 2013. The renowned French restaurant is extending its international reach with its second property overseas. Of the Beirut opening, La Petite Maison Director Bob Ramchand said, “Building on its fantastic heritage, Beirut is fast becoming a major culinary city. We have a huge Lebanese clientèle in London and in the South of France; the restaurant is a watering hole for the Lebanese community. We are now opening a restaurant in Beirut, which is something of a homecoming for us.”

Combining fresh seasonal ingredients with the culinary influences of the Cote d’Azur, La Petite Maison Beirut will serve a simple and delicious interpretation of fine Mediterranean cuisine. Food is freshly prepared for every order, using recipes that taste as if they have been handed down through generations. The original restaurant in Nice built its reputation on unpretentious, delectable food with a home cooked presentation.

The 100 cover restaurant opening will be overseen by Chef Patron Raphael Duntoye, who has been at the helm of La Petite Maison London since its opening in 2007 and he will also be overseeing the operation front and back. He will be spending lengthy stints in Beirut to ensure the exemplary standards of the brand are in place before he returns to London.

Priding itself on its privacy, unrivalled design and unobtrusive service, Le Vendôme Beirut has for over 50 years provided a ‘home from home’ to royalty and the brightest stars from the worlds of music, fashion, art and film. Since opening in 1964, Le Vendôme Beirut has maintained its reputation as the perfect retreat from the capital’s hustle and bustle.

The ornate hotel with 73 bijoux rooms, modelled on an elegant private French residence, has an intimate and homely feel. Located on the Corniche, a wide promenade on the Mediterranean Sea, Le Vendôme is the ideal outpost for La Petite Maison as it effortlessly combines the glory and opulence of a French chateau with the legendary all-pervading Lebanese hospitality.

This Spring, La Petite Maison will bring French Provencal cooking in an elegant and sophisticated setting to the ground floor of Le Vendôme Hotel.
