T. Gargour & Fils S.A.L., the exclusive and sole agent of Mercedes-Benz in Lebanon, has announced the launch of its all-new Mercedes-Benz showroom located on Dora highway. Mr. Toufick Gargour and Mr. Mike Belk, President and CEO of Daimler Middle East & Levant, together marked the laying of the foundation stone for the new showroom, in efforts to provide the best for its customers including top-notch technical development and technology. This new expansion, following the company’s success and leadership over 58 years, arises after the first Mercedes-Benz showroom opening in Lebanon in 1954, thanks to T. Gargour’s bold initiative and vision.
Commenting on the occasion and on the importance of the Lebanese customer to T. Gargour & Fils, Mr. Cesar Aoun, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz at T. Gargour & Fils, said, “We are keen on matching the Lebanese customer with key traits and features encompassed within Mercedes-Benz vehicles that are not confined to the external form, but include the latest technological and technical developments in the automotive world as well.”
Mr. Aoun adds, “We thank our Lebanese customers for the confidence they have given us which has resulted in a series of unparalleled successes for Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz remains the first choice of automobile for the Lebanese customer who is looking for ultimate quality, futuristic technology and state-of-the art engineering.”
The new showroom, which will be located on the Dora highway, will cover an area of 1500 square meters and includes a two-storey warehouse resulting in a total area of 4800 square meters. The showroom will include the most advanced technology features that meet the aspirations of Mercedes-Benz customers looking to adopt the most sophisticated vehicles in the world of luxury cars. Moreover, the new showroom will meet the company’s needs by providing an ideal place to display the latest Mercedes-Benz models, reflecting Mercedes-Benz’s motto, “The best or nothing”. Describing the facilities which will be available for the customer at the new showroom, Mr. Aoun said, “The showroom, located in a very accessible site, boasts a large surface area which allows us to display 30 vehicles. It is also built with high quality installations in line with the most advanced technologies.”
As for the impact of the region’s turmoil for the past year on sales, Mr. Aoun reassured that, “In spite of all the economic and political instabilities that have been affecting our region, Mercedes-Benz maintained a high percentage of sales in the luxury car market and secured a leading position for the sale of luxury cars in Lebanon.”
As for the secret of maintaining the leading rank in the sales of luxury cars, Mr. Aoun explained that the ‘new marketing strategy’ adopted by the company played a major role and clarified that, “In addition to this strategy, Mercedes-Benz conducted substantial amendments to its models to provide vehicles that are all new, modern and innovative, specifically the C-CLASS, C-COUPE, CLS and SLK models, among others. These changes made the brand more oriented to a younger generation, while offering options that cater to a wide audience.”
