Every first Thursday of the month, the NGO FERN (Food Establishments Recycling Nutrients) holds a yummy open buffet fundraising dinner at Tawlet restaurant in Mar Mikhael. It’s good food for a good cause.

6. Ehdeniyat – International Festival of Ehden on Saturday
It’s the start of the yearly Ehdeniyat festival and the first performance is this weekend. On Saturday night watch the spectacular Fahd Abdallah dance show and cool off in the mountain breeze. The festival is on every weekend until the end of August.

8. Rafting in the Al Assi River
This summer you can cool off and pump up your adrenaline with this adventure sport! Al Assir River in the Bekkaa Valley is the perfect rafting destination in the country and various companies have organized tours, including: Vamos-Todos (they have a tour happening this weekend), SkiLeb, Crazy Rafting, and Assi Club Hermel, among others.
9. The Garten Presents M.A.N.D.Y. and BLOND:ISH on Saturday Night

10. Pulse5K Fun Run in Faqra on Sunday
It’s a mini marathon for runners and for walkers in the beautiful Faqra Club and there’s fun for everyone. Proceeds go to NGO My School Pulse, to help critically ill children maintain their education. You can register at their booth in ABC Ashrafieh or on myschoolpulse.com.

12. WAM International Music Festival on Sunday Evening
The WAM International Music Festival In Jebran Makary Square in Anfeh, Al-Koura this year will feature Maya Nehme, Ziad Borji, DJ Said Mrad, and many others. It’s free for everyone so come down and enjoy. Details.
