Show Your Mama Some Love on Mother’s Day

She carried you for months and spent sleepless nights trying to cater to your every infant whim. Now that you’re all grown up it’s your turn to give back. If you’re lucky enough to have your mama by your side, you should be doing everything you can to show her how much you love her. Mother’s Day is on March 21st and it’s the perfect occasion to show the main woman in your life just how much she means to you. Here are a few ideas on how to show her some love:

Get her a present. Even if it’s something tiny, make the gesture and give her a small token of your love. From one single rose to a giant bouquet, flowers are a great idea for any woman on any occasion.

You can choose to get fancy, and that’s fantastic, but it doesn’t have to be something big at all. Think about what she loves and needs and buy her something she will appreciate.

If you want to go home-made, try making a collage of old photos from when you were a baby and take a trip down memory lane together. Even a home-made card like you used to make her when you were a child will put a huge smile on her face.

Of course the greatest gift might just be the gift of time. Spend time with your mother on this special day!

You can’t go wrong with the traditional dinner celebration on Mother’s Day. Make reservations at her favorite restaurant (or try a new place if she’s into experimenting) and have a lovely evening celebrating together with your favorite bites.

For those feeling just a little adventurous, try a different mealtime. Why not make it a brunch, lunch or special tea-time with your favorite female?

Check out some of the events happening in the country around March 21st and take your mom out on a date! Whether it’s a movie, play, musical performance, comedy show or anything else, your mom will be happy to spend some quality time together doing something fun or new.

You can also plan a party in favor of your matriarch. Get family and friends together and plan a party with her at the center of attention. Make sure she doesn’t do a thing, and just make the theme of the party all about your queen.

If you’re a mama yourself, make the day a celebration of generations! Gather around, just you girls or with the entire family, and make the whole day a celebration of motherhood.

Whatever you do this Mother’s Day, there’s one gift that costs nothing and will mean the world to her: saying “I love you” with a hug and a kiss for the best mother in the world, yours!
