It’s the season of the rooftop and one after the other they are ripening and opening up for us to begin the annual summer party tradition Beirut is world-renowned for! One by one outdoor venues on the city’s canopy have been springing open all over the city and we’re ready for even more.
Already open in Downtown is the lovely outdoor lounge, bar and restaurants Iris (right next door to the winter indoor venue), as well as trendy summertime favorite on any night of the week, Le Capitole. Delicious Argentinian restaurant and outdoor bar La Terraza (the upstairs neighbour of El Gardel and La Estancia) is also open. All three venues are perfect for pre-clubbing drinks and chilled out evening sun-downers.
Now the countdown is on for next week’s explosive series of openings. We hope you’re ready because it’s going to be a busy week! Starting early in the week White Beirut is opening on May 15, promising prominent artists and parties like we’ve already gotten used to over the past few years. The brainchild of Add Mind Group and summer sibling of MAD Beirut, this is the go-to venue if you’re looking for a hot party in the city, equipped with stunning dancers and lots of partylicious sights and sounds.
The next day get ready for the launch of the fabulous C-Lounge in Ain El Mreisseh, where you can hang out with friends overlooking the shore with a cool sea breeze, and enjoy hot beats and party jams.
Then there’s a weekend boom of several highly-anticipated kick-off events. On Friday night Phoenicia hotel’s stylish pool-side lounge Amethyste will open its doors to the outdoors. The sophisticated and chilled-out venue is not quite on the roof but it is outdoors, it’s fabulous and it’s definitely a must this summer.
Meanwhile at Pier 7 on the Dora Seaside Road on Friday night, we’re sure the hottest peeps in Beirut will be causing a ruckus at the big bang opening of the Crystal Group outdoor superclub. It’s an outdoor not-so-rooftop venue that’s known for it’s amazing fun times, regular world-renowned performers wowing the crowds, and insane party vibes.
On Saturday the 18th it’s the long awaited BLVD 44 that’s launching for the first time in Lebanon. Hailing from Montreal, the rooftop bar in Jal El Dib is set to be a record-breaking party extravaganza, with 44 acts already booked to perform this summer. We can’t wait to see what it’s like!
The Roof at the Four Seasons Beirut is opening on May 23rd. Boasting sensational views of the city and the sea, this is one classy venue not to miss this summer. With a sophisticated crowd and laid back atmosphere, The Roof is the perfect place to lounge around the pool during the day, and swing by for a swanky cocktail at night. Whether your sitting on a high stool overlooking the sea or relaxing on a beautiful couch, there’s no place like The Roof.
We really can’t wait to walk through those familiar sleek black walls spangled with white lights for the opening of the one and only Skybar, the place in Beirut to see and bee seen in the summertime. A restaurant and and one of the hottest nightspots on the globe, Skybar is in a league of its own when it comes to Beirut nightlife. Oh bursts of fire, how we’ve missed you!
And the cherry on top? Literally, it’s Cherry on the Rooftop at Le Gray, another chic and unique lounge promising delicious drinks and finger foods on the pool deck with chilled out beats and fantastic views of the city from its very heart.
