Melhem Karam, Lebanese Editors Syndicate head, passed away this morning Saturday at the age of 76, the National News Agency (NNA) reported. It said Karam died shortly after he was rushed to the Hotel Dieu Hospital in critical condition. The cause of Karam’s death was not immediately known.
Karam had participated on Friday in a press conference to launch this year’s Baalbek International Festival.
