The night started at 23.00 with the found@thirst finals: The first DJ to play was Cesar Kahwaji who played a cold, repetitive and normal set. Fady Ferraye, B018 resident DJ followed Cesar. Than Joelle Safi’s. The last DJ to perform was Anothony Brahim (DJ Undertaker).
Radio One’s DJ Maximus then played a set while the jury (Mr. Elias Fayad, Mr. Mohamad Kochen, DJ Said Mrad, Mr. Kamal Abihachem and Mr. Dennis Charles) were choosing the winner.
The judging criteria were :
Overall mixing : 30%
Music arrangement : 20%
Technical skills : 10%
Creativity (Originality of tracks) : 20%
Vibes (Receptiveness to crowd) : 20%
The winner was then announced, and was indeed Anthony Brahim, who played a warm up set before Trevor Fung took place with an one hour set.
At 2.50 the crowd started asking for Paul Oekenfold, who jumped in at 3.00 to start playing amazing trancy music and then some club and house beats.
The Place
=========
Virgin was, in my judgment, not the perfect place for such an event.
Tight stairs, airless hall, far toilets. Anyone could miss at least 30 mins of the event for just going to the WC.
