America Jazz diva Dee Dee Bridgewater captivated the audience last night at the Beiteddine Festival with her incredible vocals and charismatic stage presence. The other incredible star at her side was award-winning composer Ramsey Lewis who played the piano on a few songs of his own, as well as with the lovely Dee Dee. Coming to Lebanon for the second time, the Grammy and Tony award winning Bridgewater took to the stage with her trademark bald hairstyle and decked out in a sparkly ensemble. The songwriter and stage actress spoke coquettishly in French to the mesmerized audience in between songs by Ella Fitzgerald, as well as well as many other Jazz greats. A quintet accompanied the two Jazz superstars in their performance, each member adding their flavor to the wonderful music that played against the majestic backdrop of the Beiteddine Palace.
