Name: Snowshoeing From Bakich To Sannine
Details: Dear “Adventures in Lebanon” friends, as the weather is expected to be sunny this Sunday February 27, we will be benefiting from the snow season and taking you to Qanat Bakich and Sannine for a snowshoe adventure in the Metn of Lebanon.
About an hour drive from Beirut (45km) and at an altitude of 1800 m, we will begin our journey with a snowshoeing trail for about 4h of medium level that will extend from Qanat Bakich to Sannine, …during which we will have time to rest, enjoy the beautiful sceneries, take pictures, and have lunch.
There are a number of reasons to enjoy the benefits of snowshoeing:
• It’s an active and fun way to visit the outdoors with snow
• Simple and easy to learn (all ages can participate)
• Great cardiovascular exercise for adults and for kids
• It helps you burn more than 600 calories per hour (45% more calories than walking at the same speed)
What to wear on a snowshoe event:
You need to be wearing waterproof clothes or a snowsuit, high waterproof boots (or after ski boots), in addition a woolen hat and gloves.
Meeting point is in Futuroscope parking – Sin El Fil (Facing Habtoor Hotel) at 9:00 am

-San and Nine were the gods of ancient people who lived in Baskinta before Christ, from those two gods comes the name of Mount Sannine.
-Qanat Bakich, its name sows that it is a very old one related to Backhaus the Romanian god of wine, it is situated down to right of Sannine and well known for its numerous water fountains.
