Ehden Reserve Hike

Join Adventures in Lebanon Team on Sunday October 31st to hike in the breathtaking Ehden Reserve forest.

Ehden Reserve is a mountainous ecosystem on the Northern Mount Lebanon chain. It ranges from 1300m to 1950m in altitude and is located 100km from the capital Beirut.

During this trail you will benefit from some photo shooting in the multitude of rare and endemic plants that flourish in it (over 1,058 plant species have so far been recorded in the reserve, accounting for nearly 40% of the plant species in Lebanon) and diversity of trees species (39 species of trees have so far been recorded in the reserve)

A trip to Ehden is not complete without a visit to the “Midan” square, where we will have lunch in one of the typical Lebanese restaurant- lunch menu of mezze and grills at 25,000 LL, excluded from the package price

Levels: Level 1 easy, level 2 moderate, level 3 advanced
Ehden Reserve Hiking trip is about 4 hours, going down from top of the reserve and is Level 2 (moderate hike)
Families with kids above 8 years are welcome to join.

Meeting point will be in Fuad Chehab Jounieh at 8:30 am.
There will be a stop along the way.

Price: 30$ per person including breakfast, transportation, reserve entrance fees, and guides.

Make sure you bring a lot of water with you to prevent dehydration.

You would also need to get some light snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits…
A cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a jacket will also be needed. Wear hiking shoes or comfortable walking shoes and bring another pair of socks and another T-shirt.
