There’s no denying that Lebanese singer Miriam Fares has a unique style in the Arab world that may be quite daring at times, but her talent is unquestionable. In her latest music video “El Gasayed” (Poems), she tries some very bizarre and provocative looks that are reminiscent of a Lady Gaga clip. A certain scene is reminiscent of a Rihanna clip, and another of a J-Lo clip.
After years of being labeled as the “Shakira of the Arab World”, she is now being compared to Gaga and other global A-List Celebs.
What do you think about this comparison? Do you think she is worthy of it or should she be labeled a copy cat?

if someone is being compared to everyone, that means he’s unique… because you can’t be ALL of those and copy at the same time..

Although I like her very much the first time I saw that video I thought of those other video clips, instantly. I am all about getting influenced by others so I don’t think that is a bad thing. Just think she should change the idea up a bit more not just copy them.
